WATANI International 10 January 2010 Upon birth, a human being passes through the dimension of the time throughout his entire life, as for the incarnation of the Eternal Logos; time has temporally passed in Him until His Resurrection. If Heavens rejoice with one repentant sinner, how much joy and gladness is there with the Birth of the Saviour of All Mankind. The woman sorrows when giving birth to a child for her hour has come, but the Holy Virgin rejoiced when giving birth to the Lord, as the hour has come forth for the salvation of humanity. No king was born as king, but a son of a king, and no king reigns or rules before he is crowned, as for Jesus, he was born King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and the Magi offered gifts and testified for Him. A king ascends to the throne, as for the Lord Jesus He descended to the Manager and turned it into a Throne. A king is exalted to rule his people, as for the King of Kings, He conceded to exalt us and was judged by His people. A man is born unknowing of his future or end, but our Beloved Christ knew everything: “I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again” The birth of a child brings joy to his parents and their loved ones, as for the Birth of the Lord Jesus, it brought joy to all humanity which had been anticipating and seeking salvation, that joy was shared by all creatures present at the sight of Manager as representatives of Earth, the star that appeared shared as a representatives of the Universe, and the Angels shared as representatives of Heavens. The Child’s nakedness is covered with clothes, but the Child Jesus covered the nakedness of Adam and his children, and clothed us with righteousness. A man has two births: Carnal from his parents and Spiritual through Baptism. God the Eternal Logos, Born of the Father before all ages, was born again through his pure and virginal birth of the Holy Virgin Mary. Finally, a Man is born to live. As for our Beloved Christ, He was born to die for us, to redeem us and grant us life. His Grace Bishop Michael is Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Mid-South Atlantic Diocese in the United States
