After three years of study, 230 church servants from the diocese of Northern Shubra in Cairo graduated from the extensive public service course they had taken.
The graduation ceremony was held at the Anba Rweiss Theatre at St Mark’s Cathedral in Cairo, under the slogan “Shepherd my sheep” which was also the motto of the service course.
The course ran under the supervision of Anba Angaelos, Bishop of Northern Shubra, who also delivered lectures on the history of doctrinal faith. Anba Makary, Bishop of Southern Shubra, lectured on Liturgy.
Anba Angaelos praised the young graduates for their perseverance throughout the past three years and thanked them for their ‘distinguished’ graduation project on “Speaking in Church”. He made special mention of the young graduates who managed to conduct interviews with Pope Tawadros and asked for his viewpoint on important issues.
Anba Angaelos also expressed his gratitude to Anba Marcos, Bishop of Shubral-Kheima, for generously offering a lasted lecture hall at his bishopric to accommodate the large number of students taking the course.
The graduates were handed their certificates signed by Anba Angaelos, and Holy Bibles which Anba Makary participated in handing them.
