Anba Dumadios, Bishop of 6th October City, Oussim and their surroundings, is in Sydney on an Australia pastoral visit which he started in Melbourne.
Anba Dumadios is in charge of the Coptic Orthodox Church’s Family Affairs Council, also known as the Clerical Council, in Asia and Australia. He has met Anba Daniel, Bishop of Sydney, and the members of the local Clerical Council to discuss the family affairs of the Coptic congregation in Australia.
Incidentally, the visit of Anba Dumadios coincided with a domestic violence crime that rocked Copts in Australia, in which a man killed his wife and mother of their three children.
The Australian Coptic congregation is calling for more lenient divorce conditions.
