Pope Tawadros II has sent a condolence message to King Salman of Saudi Arabia for the death of his predecessor King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz , Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The message read: “On behalf of myself, and in the name of the Coptic Orthodox
Church, we express our deepest condolences to the royal Saudi family and
the Saudi people.
His Holiness added, “History shall record the late king’s achievements in
defending the causes of nationalism and Islam with honour, gallantry,
courage and dedication.”
Pope Tawadros extended wishes of good fortune and prosperity for the new king and the
Saudi nation.
