A 7-day seminar for Coptic Orthodox nuns is taking place at the Logos Centre in the monastery of Anba Bishoi in Wadi Natrun in the Western Desert. The seminar, which started last Monday, features talks by a number of bishops and specialists on several topics.
Pope Tawadros II opened the talks with a lecture on Biblical Arts. Anba Raphail, head of the Coptic Orthodox Holy Synod and Bishop-General of Downtown Cairo churches and Dr Joseph Maurice talked of the Bible interpretations by the Church Fathers and of Sunday School.
Future lectures will be given by Anba Bishoi, Bishop of Damietta and Kafr al-Sheikh; Anba Moussa, Bishop of Youth; Anba Epiphanius, Bishop and the Abbot of St Macarius Monastery; as well as a number of priests, monks, and deacons.
Next Monday, 8 February, should see a similar seminar for the monks of Coptic Orthodox monasteries in Egypt and the Diaspora.
