“Art without walls 15” is the title of the open-air art exhibition held in St Mark’s Cathedral in Downtown, Alexandria. Organised by Arkan Culture Centre, this edition features the participation of 250 young artists from Alexandria, and 70 microbusinesses for handcrafts.
The exhibition was opened by the The Very Reverend Dr Samy Fawzy Shehata, Dean of St Mark’s Pro-Cathedral Alexandria and Bishop of North Africa, jointly with the businessman Magdy al-Taher, owner of Rubex Factory Group in Burg al-Arab.
Some 120 participating artists were honoured.
Based at St Mark’s Pro-Cathedral in downtown Alexandria, the Arkan Centre is a place where Egyptian young people from all sectors of the community, both Christian and Muslim, come together and create art. The centre supports talented young artists by providing facilities for producing and displaying youth artwork, and cultural and artistic workshops.
