The semi-annual Airport Council International (ACI) Conference and Exhibition was held from 4 to 10 March in Luxor, hosted by the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, and under the auspices of Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation.
Some 400 participants attended the event, representing African airports, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and the Airports Council International.
Issues disscussed included exchange of latest technologies and expertise and services offered for the security of airports and safety regulations.
The ACI recommended enhancing cooperation between airports and international aviation organsiations to guarantee safe air-transport, and also including PPP( Public-Private -Partner ship) and BOT in the design and building of airports.
