With the aim of improving the competitiveness of Egyptian industry, the Egyptian Government, represented by the assistant of Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Engineer Ahmed Taha, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the German firm Siemens.
According to Mr Taha, intensive discussions with Siemens International officials resulted in a decision to sign the executive plan of the memorandum, which focuses on five main axes. These include infrastructure development; digital transformation in industrial zones; support of factories with power and automation solutions; development of local machinery manufacturers, and developing technical education, as well as financing necessary services for industry in Egypt.
