The Coptic Museum hosted a children’s workshop sponsored by the Egyptian Heritage Preservation Organisation headed by Maged al-Raheb.
The visit included a tour guided by the museum’s Jihan Azmy to explain the museum’s displays. The children then participated in a workshop on Coptic textiles, during which they were taught how to work on the loom. Safinaz Mahmoud who supervises the museum’s school ran the workshop. Coptic textiles are among the most unique artefacts of Coptic heritage, and are unparalleled in their beauty and painstaking designs.
