Nine irrigation personnel from Sudan have today completed a four-day-training course in Cairo on state-of-the-art technology to enhance irrigation procedures. The training was offered by the Egyptian Ministry of Irrigation; the age of the nine Sudanese trainees ranged from 27 to 45 years old.

According to Medhat Muhammad Kamal of the Egyptian General Surveying Authority, the training course came within the Ministry of Irrigation’s continuous efforts to support Nile Basin States, especially Sudan, through training professional calibres on the use of modern irrigation and survey technology, as well as the use of digital scales.

Mr Kamal pointed out that the trainees receive internationally accredited diplomas on completion of training.
