The High Dam in Aswan has been witnessing the sail of the first cruise ship to take the Nile journey from Egypt southwards to Sudan. The four-day cruise takes passengers to Wadi Halfa in northern Sudan.
Mustafa Amer, Deputy Chairman of the Nile Valley Authority for River Navigation, said that the four-storey cruise ship is powered by clean wind energy.
Mr Amer says the cruise, which sails across Lake Nasser, the water reservoir upstream the Aswan High Dam, is the first of its kind between Egypt and Sudan, and traverses sites of legendary beauty on the Nile banks.
