Within the programme “A Productive Village” which helps women start small and micro businesses, the National Council for Women (NCW) in al-Wadi al-Gadid (The New Valley) has completed training 1,300 breadwinner women.
According to Nadia Azmy Wissa, coordinator of the NCW in the New Valley, the projects include handcrafts, animal wealth, environmental crafts, agricultural and dairy products. They are available for young university female graduates, and to women who are the family breadwinners.
The Productive Village projects are actively encouraged and promoted by the New Valley Governor, Muhammad Zamlout.
