A Cairo court has sentenced the 42-year-old M.A.E charged with harassment to two years in prison, a EGP2000 fine, and EGP10,001 in compensation to be paid to the victim.
The story goes back to last July as the 23-year-old M.H.A stood in Nasr Street in the Cairo suburb of Maadi waiting for a cab. M.A.E approached her from behind and harassed her, but she screamed and called for help. The passers-by rushed to catch the harasser, and an eye-witness testified against him in court.
