Watani offers its heartfelt condolences to the families of the children who lost their lives in the bus-train crash in Manfalout, Upper Egypt, last Saturday.
Some 53 school children aged eight to 13 and two teachers lost their lives, while some 15 others were badly injured when the minibus carrying them was gutted by the approaching train as their driver attampted to cross the tracks.
The accident has left Egypt with agonising heartache at the senseless loss of life. Several families lost all their children in the accident.
As Watani shares the pain of the families who lost loved ones, it prays for divine comfort to fill their hearts. The children are surely in Paradise now, and only Heaven can bring about consolation and peace to their families. Amen.
