Some 100 large Greek firms have plans to pump investment into Egypt, said Evangelos Dairetzis, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Greek Embassy in Cairo. The Greek investment will be mainly directed to fields as converting waste to energy, information technology and integrated solutions, as well as the food industry.
Dairetzis explained that a recent visit by a delegation of Egyptian Businessmen Association to Athens and Thessaloniki helped Greek business see Egypt as one of the most promising markets in the Middle East and North Africa. He said the Egyptian-Greek Business Council would hold a meeting during the first week of December.
