France’s ambassador to Cairo, André Parant, has paid a visit to the Mediterranean city of Port Said which lies at the northern tip of the Suez Canal. Port Said Governor Adel al-Ghadban gave Mr Parant a warm welcome and discussed with him possibilities of economic and cultural cooperation, explaining about investment opportunities in eastern and western Port Said ports and other industrial parks. The French ambassador said that the volume of French investment in Egypt amounted to USD4 billion involved 150 French investors, in addition to an estimated 30,000 Egyptian workers in France.
Governor Ghadban presented Mr Parant with the Shield of Port Said in appreciation for his visit to the city.
