This year marks ten years on launching a joint Egyptian-French programme for
scientific cooperation, named IMHOTEP. The project has so far succeeded in
carrying out some 126 research projects in various domains.
To mark the occasion, André Parant, the French ambassador to Cairo, has received
last Monday the Egyptian researchers who accomplished took part in the programme.
IMHOTEP started in 2004 with the aim of facilitating, strengthening and
developing scientific cooperation between Egyptian and French researchers
working at universities and research centers or institutes in both
countries, he noted. The research problems and work are defined, designed, and planned ao as to benefit both countries.
