An Egyptian Indonesian Cultural Day has been held in Zagazig, the capital city of the East Delta governorate of Sharqiya. The activities of the day included a handcrafts exhibition that displayed Egyptian and Indonesian hand-made goods. Sharqiya Governor Khaled Saeed and Indonesian Ambassador to Cairo Hekmy Fauzy visited the exhibition which was held at Egypt’s Public Library in Zagazig. They were joined by Reda al-Tayfi, head of Egypt’s Public Libraries Fund, as well as local politicians.
Ambassador Fauzy admired the goods on display, saying that since they are inspired by the environment, they naturally reflect Egyptian and Indonesian character, nature, and way of life.
Governor Saeed presented Ambassador Fauzy with the Sharqiya shield and commemorative souvenirs.
