The Coptic Orthodox Church in Germany and the German Bishop’s Conference have decided to hold joint prayers for Egypt. The first time will be tomorrow. Thursday, which marks the Copts’ celebration of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin. All other Coptic parishes have also invited for joint prayer.
Anba Damian, the Coptic Orthodox Bishop of Germany and Cardinal Woelki will pray together in Berlin.
In Munich Missio and the Archdiocese will join the Coptic Parish, in Duesseldorf the Archdiocese of Cologne will join. The Bishop’s Conference has asked all Catholics to pray on Sunday for Egypt. It is a nationwide act of solidarity in which everyone is invited to join at 19:00h on Thursday.
