The Cultural Palaces Authority also mourned the passing away of the Pope, declaring in a communiqué that he represented “a luminous landmark on the road to serving God, right, and duty”, and reminding that his tolerant, moderate, wise attitude served to dissipate tensions that might have otherwise shattered the homeland.
