Today marks the first day in Watani International’s 12th year in print.
The past 11 years have seen great changes sweep over Egypt; changes on the cultural, social, economic and political levels; changes that, in the end, proved historical. All through, Watani International has attempted to work as an honest monitor and observer, presenting its readers with in-depth stories and candid views. And this will remain the aim of the paper, whether in print or online, for as long as we are there.
Samia Sidhom
After writing the little note above to mark our venture into our 12th year, I received the following message from one of our loyal readers, which I would like to share with all readers of Watani International. SS
I, too, your reader, wish to join in your celebration of eleven years of Watani International. How would I not, when I have been the beneficiary of all that passionate and dedicated high quality work? Every week, I can’t wait to get my copy of Watani, and every week I am rewarded with insights and photos and perspectives that are uniquely Watani International. You communicate to me the pulse of the street, and the reporting is almost always about the human element, which makes reading Watani International a unique reading experience about Egypt, its people and its community.  I, too, your reader, am very proud and happy to celebrate eleven years of achievements because I  have watched you grow into a respectable addition to the news world over those years.  I, too, feel that my baby has grown to be eleven years old, and am proud of it. Cheers Everyone!
