During his weekly Wednesday evening sermon, Pope Tawadros II met Romani Ashraf, a student at Port Said Advanced Technical school, who ranked fourth in the field of ‘Biochemistry’ in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) competition in Arizona, USA, which took place from 12 to 17 May 2019. Ashraf won this tanking for his project of manufacturing biogas from algae.
Ashraf was also honoured by Port Said Governor Adel al-Ghadban in a celebration held last month at the Cultural Centre in Port Said, and attended by Anba Tadros, Bishop of Port Said.
Pope Tawadros presented Ashraf a gift, congratulated the young man’s family, and expressed pride in his achievement.
