The18th century Beit al-Sennari (Sennari House), a magnificent sample of Islamic architecture which is now affiliated to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) and is used as the BA’s cultural venue in Cairo, is organising a complete summertime programme of workshops for boys and girls aged 6 to 15. The programme will be held through 12 lectures and workshops that begin Sunday 9 July and last throughout the school summer holidays till September.
A number of expert trainers will manage the programme in cooperation with the Unit of Green Corner for Scientific Activities of Egypt’s Ministry of Environment. The Green Corner is considered one of the most important programmes targeting environmental awareness in Egypt, especially among children and teenagers.
The Sennari programme focuses on knowledge, art, and etiquette; and includes activities in various fields of education, culture, and social activity. The aim is to polish children’s characters and promote their imagination and innovation skills, as well as to foster the spirit of teamwork, taking responsibility, and managing spare time.
