In a thoughtful gesture, the Education Minister’s Deputy in Beni Sweif (some 100km south of Cairo), Mohamed Abdel-Tawab, gave roses to his Christian employees as he wished them a happy Christmas. Accompanying him were Hany Ragai Deputy of the Beni Sweif education directorate, and Kamel Abu-Taleb, general manager of Beni Sweif Technical Education sector.
Mr Abdel-Tawab visited the Coptic employees one by one in their offices or at their desks at Beni Sweif Education Directorate, shaking hands, giving each a rose, and wishing them a happy Feast of the Nativity. The Coptic employees were elated at the gesture. Copts celebrate Christmas on 7 January.
Mr Abdel-Tawab asked the Lord to bestow peace, security, and prosperity on Egypt, and to bless the timeless bond that ties all Egyptians.
