Egypt’s Ambassador to Helsinki, Haitham Salah, has taken part in the signing ceremony of the launch of the first international British-Finnish school in Egypt. The ceremony was held at the Finnish Global Education Solutions (FGES) institution in Helsinki, and attended by the chairman of the FGES, and a number of officials and seniors in the field of education in Finland.
Ambassador of Education at Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marjaana Sall, praised the cooperation between Egypt and Finland, especially in the fields of education and vocational education.
The school is one among a project of inaugurating six Finnish schools in Egypt.
With the same purpose, Egypt’s Minister of Education Tarek Shawki paid a visit to Helsinki to hold discussions with the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland for future cooperation between the two countries. The visit involves signing a number of cooperation agreements to develop technical education in Egypt.
