The Libyan Ambassador in Cairo Mohamed Fayez Gebriel declared that the Libyan authorities have released four Copts who had been detained in Libya for 30 days, on charges of preaching Christianity. The four Copts are Eissa Ibrahim, Emad Seddiq, Adel Shaker and Sherif Ramsis were handed to the Egyptian Embassy in Tripoli.
Gebriel said that the exact date of their arrival to Cairo will be decided by the Egyptian authorities after completing the necessary procedures. He told the Egyptian media he hoped that releasing the four Copts would be a good start to enhance Egyptian Libyan cooperation.
