A march started yesterday evening 3rd November from Shubra heading towards Maspero passing by Tahrir Square. The aim of the march is to denounce the way the Military council dealt with the last few crises especially the Mapero massacre.
Christians and Moslems alike participated in the march representing many political and youth movements among which were the “We are all Mina Danial” movement and the Egyptian revolution movement.
The demonstrators were repeating slogans that condemned the military trials and the Maspero massacre. They demanded the eviction of the Military Council, handing over power to a civic Council and the fast release of all those detained for military trials. Their demands also included the resignation of the Media minister and the governor of Aswan as well as the persecution of the real culprits in the Maspero massacre.
The demonstrators carried red flags with the picture of Mina Danial one of the Maspero martyrs with “ A homeland with no poverty, no coercion, no discrimination” written on them as they made their way towards Mapero chanting reminders of the martyrs who were killed on the fateful night of 9 Ocotber.
