On Tuesday evening, a Coptic rally was held in Cairo in memorial for the Maspero victims. Demonstrators gathered, dressed in mourning black, in Shubra, and chanted slogans against the military. They demanded that those responsible for the Maspero bloodbath on 9 October should be brought to justice, that citizenship rights should be fulfilled, and that equality and justice for all should reign.
Participating in the rally was a number of human rights groups, Coptic youth movements, and political parties.
