Today, the Coptic Church celebrates Palm Sunday, marking the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
The day is traditionally a joyful one especially for children who join in the festivities with gusto. Copts weave palm fronds into intricate shapes of crosses, hearts, colts, and others that relate to the occasion, and carry them to church to participate in Holy Mass. Once Mass concludes, Holy Week begins.
Watani wishes its readers the blessings of the day and the upcoming Holy Week.
