Anba Marqos, Bishop of Shbral-Kheima; and Anba Dumadios, Bishop of 6-October Town, have separately paid visits to the Hospital for Children with Cancer—better known as 57357, the bank account through which donations for the hospital are received. Anba Marqos was accompanied a number of workers from the Kooji Coptic TV channel for children, and Anba Dumadios was accompanied by a number of priests and young volunteer workers from the 6-October parish. They visited the young patients, prayed for their speedy recovery, and gave them gifts in celebration of the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr.
The Bishops each presided over Holy Mass during which they consecrated as altar boys a number of boys receiving treatment at the hospital. The Kooji team entertained the children as well. They were altogether a joyful, prayerful visit.
Several Bishops and Coptic clergy and volunteer workers have been paying regular visits to 57357 to offer the children and their families much-needed spiritual care. The hospital includes a small church and also a mosque.
