“Job Creativity of Egyptians and Youth” is the theme title of the 9th Photography Competition annually launched by the European Union Delegation to Egypt with the aim of promoting and stimulating interest and creativity in photography among amateur photographers in Egypt, and to provide an opportunity for disseminating and exhibiting their work.
This year’s theme explores the innovation of Egyptian entrepreneurs, whose creativity and endurance in the face of economic uncertainty acts as global and local inspiration. Contestants are encouraged to capture the creative means by which many Egyptians find and create employment, whether a girl selling flowers, a street vendor or a college graduate inventing a new gadget.
The deadline for reception at the EU Delegation in Egypt is Sunday 13 November 2016. Prizes will be awarded to the three best images. The 30 selected photos will also be exhibited in Cairo during the award ceremony. Each of the 30 winning entrants will receive a diploma on that occasion. Out of the thirty selected photos, twelve (12) images will be chosen to be included in the 2017 calendar of the Delegation of the European Union to Egypt.
