Security forces have this morning, Monday 29 May, dismantled a small bomb that was left in front of Anba Barsoum al-Erian Monastery [monastery here denotes a church complex not an active monastery with resident monks] in Maasara, Helwan south of Cairo.
According to a church source, the church guard found a paper box in front of the gate this morning. He examined it and found a bomb inside. He quickly informed the security forces who promptly dismantled it and cordoned the area off, denying any entrance to the monastery for security reasons.
