President Sisi visits Pope Tawadros for condolence

Early afternoon today, Thursday 13 April, President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi paid a visit to Pope Tawadros II at the papal headquarters at St Mark’s Cathedral in Abbassiya, Cairo. The purpose of the visit was for the President to offer his condolences for the death of some 45 Copts in suicide bombings that took place at the church of St George in Tanta and St Mark’s cathedral in Alexandria on Palm Sunday, 9 April.
