The Coptic Orthodox Church has denounced the brutal terrorist attack on a security checkpoint in the neighbourhood of Safa in northern Arish last Saturday. An Islamic State affiliate which operates in Sinai has claimed responsibility for the attack which claimed the lives of 15 policemen and three officers.

The Church announced its support of all State institutions and praised the sound leadership which spares no effort trying to shield the nation from black terrorism.

The Coptic Orthodox Church said it is praying for a speedy recovery of the injured and is extending its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
