Pope Tawadros II is back home in Cairo after successful spinal surgery in Munich, Germany. He flew back today,
The Pope had long suffered from back pains that became intolerable. His doctors in Cairo advised him to go Germany for treatment. He flew to Munich last month and, on 26 November, the hospital—Schön Klinik—issued a statement declaring he had had successful spinal surgery, was discharged from hospital, and recuperating.
The Coptic Church and Pope Tawadros issued a statement in which they offered thanksgiving to the Lord, and expressed gratitude to the medical team at the Munich hospital, especially Prof. Dr Michael Mayer, for the infinite care they gave him.
