The most recent health requirements for entry into Egypt concern visitors who carry COVID-19 vaccination certificates.
As announced by the Ministry of Health, the vaccination certificates carried by individuals arriving to Egypt from countries not affected by coronavirus variants for 14 days pre-arrival, are accepted. That is provided the vaccine is approved by WHO and by the Egyptian Drug Authority; and that the certificate includes a QR code and is free of any words struck through or added. No PCR test certificates are required from such passengers.
Vaccination certificates of visitors from countries affected directly or indirectly with coronavirus variants 14 days prior to arrival are also accepted, but the passengers are required to undergo ID Now COVID-19 tests. If they test positive, and again positive in a subsequent PCR test, they must be moved to hospital.
Passengers may enter Egypt if their vaccination certificates indicate they have taken the second dose of the vaccine at least 14 days prior to their arrival in case of vaccines that require two shots: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V; or 14 days from receiving the first dose of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine.
