The Coptic Orthodox Church’s ministry in the Philippines was recently reviewed by Pope Tawadros II in Cairo. At St Mark’s Cathedral in Abbassiya, Cairo, the Pope met Father Daoud Lamei who is in charge of the ministry in Philippines, together with Fr Mina Maurice who serves in Manila and Fr Kyrillos Hani from the City of Tacloban.
The priests presented the Pope with a report reviewing the pastoral activities of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Philippines during 2020. The report highlighted prayer meetings regularly held there, as well as social services and activities, specialised courses, and health services offered to the Filipino people especially those suffering on account the Covid-19 pandemic.
