A teacher (H. A.) at the private primary Dream School in the eastern Cairo district of al-Marg region, was reported to have described her Christian students as kuffaar (plural of kafir, meaning apostate).
The Christian parents who went to pick up their children at the end of the school day found their children in tears, and found that, when the children had asked to go out to attend their class in Christian religion the teacher had disdained them and said: “What religion are you talking about? You##re kuffaar.”
Girgis Bibawy, a lawyer and one of the pupils## relatives, told Watani that the parents submitted a complaint to the headmaster, who promised to investigate the matter. The parents left the school in a state of anger, promising to raise the complaint to the Education Ministry if no corrective action is taken by the headmaster.
