Culture Minister Helmy al-Namnam and Chinese Ambassador to Cairo Song Aiguo opened on 3 November the Egypt-China Cultural Industries exhibition at Fustat Traditional Crafts Centre in Old Cairo.
The exhibition runs till 6 November. It is part of the activities of the Egyptian-Chinese cultural year 2016, is the first of its kind to be held in Egypt, and aims at getting visitors acquainted with the crafts and traditional arts in both countries.
The Chinese pavilion showcases hand-made products and art works of great Chinese artists and craftsmen. The Egyptian pavilion also shows the traditional arts and crafts of the country.
The exhibition was organised by the Egyptian Cultural Development Fund and the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector in cooperation with the Chinese Culture Centre in Cairo.
