The Supreme State Security Prosecution issued an order that Abu-Islam Ahmed Abdallah, commonly known as Abu-Islam who is the owner of al-Umma al-Islamiya satellite channel, should be made to stand before the prosecution for interrogation.
The move comes in the wake of several complaints that were filed with the public prosecution alleging that Abu-Islam had derided Christianity, and disturbing public peace and order.
Abu-Islam last week publicly ripped and burned a copy of the Bible while he participated in the demonstrations in front of the US embassy in Cairo to protest against the US-produced film The Innocence of Muslims, a film that was seen by Muslims as an insult to Islam. Abu Islam went as far as to threaten to do obscene deeds with the Bible.
