A conference titled “Secret of distinguished Finnish education” was recently held in Cairo to explore the best strategies in the field of higher education in Finland, and attempts to find ways to apply them in Egypt.
Finnish Ambassador to Cairo Laura Kansikas-Debraise spoke at the conference, saying that her country’s government financed about 64 per cent of higher education services which are free of charge in Finland.
The Finnish education system, she said, has managed to cope with the swift changes of modern times, enhancing the analysis of information in order for citizens to achieve better progress in the 21st century.
Egypt, which has a vision to develop higher education, looks to enhance dialogue and cooperation with Finland in that field.
