Finnish Under-Secretary of State for external economic relations Matti Anttonen visited Egypt from 7 to 10 June, accompanied by representatives of 17 Finnish companies. The aim of the trade mission was to familiarise the Egyptian business community with Finnish companies and their products, to open new markets and promote business activity of Finnish enterprises already based in the country.
The Finnish delegation held meetings at the ministerial and company levels and in events organised for networking. They met representatives of Chambers of Commerce and the business community as well as representatives of the World Bank, the European Investment Bank and the Central Bank of Egypt.
There is a long tradition of trade between Egypt and Finland and the trade has now taken a brisk upward turn.
