An international conference on the future of the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt will be held on Thursday 22 December in Cairo. The German ambassador to Cairo Michael Bock and the Egyptian Health Minister Fouad al-Nawawi will be attending, as well as Egyptian and international experts in the field, and the heads of global and Egyptian pharmaceutical companies.
The occasion will also be used to celebrate the opening of the new Cairo scientific office of the leading German pharmaceutical manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim, which is holding the conference in the first place. The invitation to the conference stressed the pioneering regional role played by the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt, and the country being an attractive destination for investment in the industry.
