The First Mansoura – Paris Ophthalmic Forum will be held at Mansoura University’s Center for Ophthalmology from 30 October to 2 November 2018. The forum comes within the framework of Egyptian French cooperation to combat blindness under the umbrella of the World Health Organisation. It is conducted by the Mansoura University’s Center for Ophthalmology in collaboration with the French-Egyptian Medical Association, the French Institute in Egypt and the Embassy of France.

Besides lectures on eye diseases and disorders, and latest treatments, the forum will offer surgical treatment for 20 children under 12 who will undergo Paediatric Keratoplasty and Paediatric glaucoma surgeries by Egyptian and French ophthalmic surgeons.

The forum comes within the State’s initiative to eliminate waiting lists for patients and boost the experience of young doctors through introducing them to state-of-the-art practices.
